During a recent Whatnot live show, lisalis_merchmonster kicked off with a joke about running a “cleaning chat show” and managed to sell a Random Pulls #12 item in the process. Amidst the playful banter, the show’s host shared a cleaning clip that was part of the Random Pulls #12 assortment, which caught the eye of viewer and eventual buyer, foxyjen.
Foxy Jen’s winning bid of $2 secured the item, and the seller’s commentary provided some insight into the clip’s design, with the host mentioning that it’s a “decent clip” with no jagged edges, which apparently is a deal-breaker in hair accessories.
Chat participants offered some opinions on sourcing and pricing for second-hand items, touching on the advantages of knowing the value of items due to experience, as well as successfully selling them at competitive prices in antique booths. The relaxed atmosphere of the show did, however, lead to some creative connections among viewers, with one participant mentioning plans to start a Facebook friendship with the show’s creators. Despite this quirky start, the Random Pulls #12 item’s successful sale proved that even cleaning-themed shows can bring unexpected treasures to Whatnot buyers.
