The Last-Minute Yarn Deal
MarcellaMye took home a random yarn pull for $2.00 during nursesarah’s live Knitting & Crochet show on Whatnot. The seller, nursesarah, included a few words about her sale, joking that Marcella was “late” – although she didn’t seem to mind the pun.
The sale of the yarn lot attracted some viewer commentary. Some bidders mentioned their motivations and limitations: one wanted to gift to coworkers who crochet in low-light settings, while another admitted to struggling with health issues and keeping up with a young child. At least one viewer noted uncertainty about Whatnot’s shipping policies, but didn’t seem to let it deter them from bidding.
Whatnot’s live auction format creates an atmosphere filled with possibilities and last-minute opportunities, as in this case where a single bid took home a random batch of yarn.
