In last night’s Whatnot live auction show hosted by gainespet, an unusual item caught the attention of bidders, selling for $26 with a single bid from habanerokitty. The item in question is described as Carp Bladders, or specifically, “air blotters of the Asian silver carp”. According to the seller, this product is claimed to be beneficial for a dog’s coat and digestive health; however, there’s no indication of a scientific backing or widespread use of carp bladders as a supplement.
Priced at $26, the box of 10 can be compared to a similarly-sized box of 10 that retails for $40 (sold in a bundle earlier in the show). A 40-count box of this product is offered as well, with a retail price of $160. We’d love to hear from our readers – have you heard of using fish bladder supplements in pet care, and what’s your experience with them?
