Gainespet, a lively seller with a penchant for surprises, hosted a pop-up show that had us all on the edge of our seats. The theme was Pets, Pet Treats, $1 Starts, which already hinted at a thrilling auction. But what really got our hearts racing was the introduction of a “Sudden Death” feature, where bidders would compete to secure a single lot, and the stakes were raised with a 10-second timer.
The excitement culminated in a thrilling bidding war for a 10-count pig ear lot. With a starting price of $1 and a minimum bid increment of just $0.01, the lot sold for an impressive $11.00. This wasn’t the only standout sale, though – other notable deals included a single marrow bone for $2.00, a set of 5-count pig ears for just $6.00, and a jumbo bully stick for $4.00.
We also got to know Gainespet a bit better, learning about their clearance blowout sale for leftover products from their family farmstead. They assured us that the quality was top-notch and even provided a sneak peek at a particularly plump pig ear. Their friendly, down-to-earth demeanor made the show feel like a fun community gathering.
