Pokémon Pack Punch!

The nostalgia is real! A single pack of 30th Anniversary Pokémon cards, part of the multi-pack lot offered by seller “plantswithdirt” on Whatnot, sold for a tidy $270. Rykerbin took the pack home, no doubt sparking excitement and maybe even a few late-night gaming sessions.

The Whatnot chat was buzzing with lively conversation during the sale, with viewers weighing in on the relative rarity and value of these cards. As one observer noted, kids today won’t be snapping up packs like their parents did back in the 90s. Another lamented the changing times, when a trip to the local grocery store for a Pokémon pack was a breeze. “It’s cheap and findable in the wild,” one chat participant shrugged. “Kids don’t care what it is as long as it’s on the shelf.” Meanwhile, someone with a very relaxed attitude towards card storage suggested letting the (non-SIR) cards just sort themselves out in whatever bag they arrived in. Who knows what treasures Rykerbin will uncover in the pack?
