EXCERT: A rare item with some fascinating backstory found a buyer on live on Whatnot.
Yesterday evening, gobigplants hosted a live show on Whatnot featuring plants and garden items, and the seller started strong with a “Let me go” item, an unexpected find for viewers. Sold for a tidy $4.00 to morrisfam2019, the mystery item, dubbed “ICE WITH BAG,” didn’t get much airtime. However, it turns out the ICES in question were actually rehabs for the queen of hearts variant, not allocation or anterior cultivars, as the seller teased.
The rehabs were described as not having held up “well at all” under the seller’s care, possibly due to their tendency to overheat. Viewers engaged with gobigplants throughout the show, asking for advice and sharing their own experiences with alocasia, root riot substrates, and even offering words of encouragement to fellow hobbyists.
Though the “ICE WITH BAG” may have flown under the radar for many, it found a happy home and a new owner to appreciate its, no matter how brief, journey.
