Last night on Whatnot, phillyphlipper hosted a live show featuring a variety of storage unit finds, with some really interesting items crossing the block. At one point, the seller started going over their collection of Pokémon cards, mentioning a Golem and other rare cards. A standout item in this bunch was a single, specific card that generated a lot of excitement: Pokémon #38.
After some light-hearted banter with the host and viewers about power outages and reminders to message Paul for Amazon gift card info, four bidders took a stab at snagging the #38 card. In the end, tvgirl1981 was the highest bidder at $6.00 – not a bad price for a true rare gem, especially if the condition is right.
Of course, for true enthusiasts, owning a card like this one is often less about the cost and more about the thrill of the chase and the pride of adding it to a well-curated collection. Only time will tell what the winning bidder plans to do with their new acquisition – but one thing’s for sure: this card is off on a new adventure with its new owner!
