On a recent live Whatnot show, “goodbyeinventory” put up a small box for sale with no guarantee of contents. The 17-bid auction concluded with a single bid of $31, won by user claudiacla38060. It’s just one example of the many interesting lots that come across Whatnot’s live auction floor. During the sale, viewers in the chat offered words of encouragement to the seller and shared advice on navigating the platform, from the benefits of shipping costs to how to handle failed payment issues. The seller, meanwhile, chatted with viewers in a lighthearted and engaged manner.
