Gainespet’s live auction show, featuring pets and treasures, got underway with a bang – literally, at times. One item that caught the attention of bidders was a single Cod Skin Bar, touted as a chemical-free treat for dogs. With a starting price of just 1 cent and a 10-second bidding period, the item quickly gained traction.
As the bidding heated up, Gainespet shared some valuable context: these Cod Skin Bars retail for $12 each, and the seller can only offer the singles in separate auctions due to inventory limitations. The enthusiasm was palpable, with one viewer remarking on the “yummy food stuff” and joking about owners needing a job to afford their furry friends’ snacks. Another bidder mentioned they’d picked up five items and couldn’t wait to reward their own “babies” with the goodies.
Ultimately, miksandra took home the Cod Skin Bar for a winning bid of $4 – a small price to pay for the prized treat. With bids coming in at just two cents shy of the $4 mark, it was clear many were eager to give their pets the best.
