In a Whatnot live show dedicated to Pokémon Cards, a lucky buyer took home a valuable lot: a three-pack Blister of cards from the BW – Dark Explorers set. Neighborhood Garrett won the auction with a bid of $3360, which sent the Whatnot community into a flurry of excitement and pun-filled commentary.
The sold item, a three-pack Blister, gives the buyer a good chance at pulling rare cards, much to the seller’s delight. Plantswithdirt noted in their item description, “with three packs in there with box odds you kind of almost have to at least hit” something rare. And hit they did, with Garrett taking home the Blister for a fraction of the time it might take to pull a similar prize.
As for resale value, another viewer observed that “Did you see the fire red leaf green Gengar? Sold for 135k September 30th. Probably close to 209k now.” It seems collectors and enthusiasts are hungry for rare Pokémon cards, and a three-pack Blister like Garrett’s could very well see a significant price hike in the market.
What’s next for Garrett’s newly acquired cards? Only time will tell.
