Whatnot sellers Gainespet have a knack for bringing in unique items, and their live show was no exception. During the recent “Dog & Cat · $1 Starts, Pets” live auction, a bag of Rainbow Trout Heads – 4 oz – caught the eye – and wallet – of buyer slaperle16. The small bag of trout heads sold for $10, a welcome addition to many a pet owner’s snack stash.
Gainespet was on hand to tout the benefits of their trout heads, saying “This is the most nutrient dense product that we sell. These are trout heads. They’re seven to eight in a bag… This is not gonna be hard to digest for your dog either. We chose trout heads over carp heads because the bone structure of a trout is a lot more digestible than a carp head.”
Chatter in the live auction room showed just how invested pet owners are in their purchases – “I got my dog a pig ear from whole pets to hold him over until yours came in……and he turned his nose up to. You have made him a boujee dog lol”, “My dog has only been given snacks from you guys for a couple months now, his stomach has been so much better and his fur is so shiny ✨”, and “I have been feeding and formulating diets for 15 years” were just a few of the testimonials displayed.
