On a recent Whatnot live auction show, thriftworxusa showcased a treasure for the canister collectors out there: a small set of vintage GW Plum tree home Potted Meats canisters. As the host mentioned, this particular set is in good shape overall, with just a small hairline fracture that doesn’t appear to affect the integrity of the item. With a custom bid-to-win, 10-second sudden death auction, the bidding was fierce – and fast. By the time the dust settled, one lucky bidder, handmedownplayground, claimed the set for a tidy $22. Of course, on a Friday after a long week at work, it’s just nice to have a little something to brighten up the day – just what that birthday camping trip was calling for!
