The Anthurium Superbum #1 was one of the many plants up for grabs during abtropics’ live Whatnot show, which featured a wide variety of plants with $1 starting prices. After some enthusiastic commentary from the seller, who couldn’t get enough of the plant’s “super sick leaves,” bidding got underway. In the end, emmaliew took home the prize for $8, winning out after nine bids.
The seller’s chat room was abuzz with excitement, with viewers dropping tips on items to bid on ($1 starts on everything, anyone?) and sharing their own personal plant preferences (we’re looking at you, spider plant connoisseurs!). With Whatnot’s interactive format, it’s clear that a Whatnot live show is more than just a sale – it’s an event.
