A Delightful Monstera Placer Gold Sells for $22 on Whatnot
The Whatnot live auction show featuring gobigplants brought home a delighted seller, and a new plant parent. One particularly coveted find was the Monstera Placer Gold Premium, which quickly found a new home after a single bid of $22. The seller describes them as “plaster golds,” commenting on their potential to turn a bright yellow and green color. A Monstera Placer Gold can develop a striking appearance, as suggested by the seller’s comparison to a “frost between a Bulbasaur and a green snow.” Although only one enthusiastic buyer stepped forward, the excitement generated by this sale reflects the enduring appeal of rare and unique plant varieties.
