The live Whatnot auction, hosted by vendor capcityplants, featured a diverse selection of plants and garden items starting at just $1. Among the crowd was beardedbud, who took home a 2-pack of tropical wonders for a steal. The cyclocesta and Florian plants, neatly wrapped in, ahem, “Korean newspaper rap paper,” were clearly a hit with the live audience.
The sale was a low-key affair, with no reported bidding wars or intense negotiations – although one viewer did offer a cheeky upgrade to priority shipping, saying “Even if it’s not hot where you are, the journey to you is hot! Upgrade to priority ➡️➡️.” The background tunes, featuring none other than Teena, seemed to be setting a relaxed vibe for the show.
We can’t quite put a price on the joy of snagging a unique pair of plants, but $7 is a fair steal, if we do say so ourselves. Beardedbud may be the happy owner of these tropical treasures, but we’re happy to report that they’ll bring a touch of exotic charm to their new home.
