Rare Plant Enthusiasts Unite: $5 Anthurium Sells Out at Whatnot
The Whatnot live auction show “gobigplants is live · Plants & Garden · Plants · Whatnot: Shop, Sell, Connect” saw a quick sale for a single Antherium plant, dubbed “black velvet #1”. The plant itself was described by seller “gobigplants” as “really just an interior black velvet” – a unique variety the seller is clearing out to make room for an upcoming large order.
The lone bidder, crystalmills0809, secured the $5 price tag for the coveted plant. Meanwhile, in the chat, viewers were enthusiastically sharing suggestions and offers of support for the seller’s future events, including a possible “go big tour” meet-up at a campground, with promises of a big barbecue and even a campsite to stay overnight. Another viewer joked about sharing a pool and lakes nearby for fishing, while a helpful chat participant offered to pick up plant supports made from bamboo.
