During a recent live show on Whatnot, thriftworxusa’s audience got a surprise when a small stoneware bottle went up for auction. The unique piece, which features a salt glaze with great variation in the glaze pattern, captured the interest of bidders. With 18 enthusiastic bidders participating in the auction, the item sold for $25.00 USD.
According to the seller’s commentary, the stoneware ink bottle measures approximately three and a half inches tall, but the exact measurement wasn’t provided. Despite this, the little “cutie” (as the seller affectionately put it) won over the hearts of viewers, who were either bidding or watching the show unfold in real-time.
The auction was part of a larger estate clear-out sale, and viewers took the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the sellers and other viewers in the chat. With the sale of the salt-glazed stoneware ink bottle now complete, we can’t wait to see what other hidden gems might turn up in the days to come.
